About Urii Orlov

Urii Orlov, author of REDEMPTION – Fight for Life has a diverse and international background.

Born and raised in Odessa, Ukraine, Urii speaks six languages and attended medical college, specializing in nursing. His career path took a significant turn when he moved to Germany in 2003 to work in psychiatry.

From 2004 to 2008, he served as the CEO of a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting elderly survivors of World War II concentration camps and victims of Stalin’s gulag prison system. He also pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Germanic Philology at Mechnikov National University in Odesa, Ukraine, and graduated in 2008.

In 2009, he moved to Québec, Canada, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. He used his degree as a social worker for the Ministry of Youth Protection, primarily serving the First Nations Community from 2012 to 2013.

In 2013, he transitioned into the insurance industry, and in 2015 he relocated to Vancouver, BC, where he continues to work as an Insurance Broker. His rich tapestry of experiences, spanning multiple countries and industries, provides a unique perspective that deeply informs his writing.

Urii hopes that his novel will entertain, inspire, and educate readers. He believes that his novel is a tribute to his friend Oleg, and a testament to the power of the human spirit.
